about
Patchwork Cacophony is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Ben Bell. The keyboard-driven compositions have an emphasis on the classic instruments of the glory days of progressive rock, such as the hammond organ and mellotron.
lyrics
I feel the years have passed me by,
I don't know how, and I don't know why,
There were so many things to be,
Still I'm just me.
And the dreams I had, did they fade away?
Did I save them all for a rainy day?
I feel my dreams have passed me by.
I feel the moment's come and gone,
I missed my chance, guess I musta-took too long,
I feel there's nothing left to do,
But count my days.
And the dreams I had, did they fade away?
Did I save them all for a rainy day that never came?
I thought I'd be something more,
I could have been so much more,
And the dreams I had, did they fade away?
Did I save them all for a rainy day?
And I feel my life's passed me by,
Did all my dreams fade and die?
Wake up, smell the morning air,
Summer's gone but the autumn weather's fair,
There's still time,
Stop worrying about your yesterdays,
Now it's a Brand New Day.
Hurry up, there's so much more to see,
Live every moment while you can,
Be your dreams,
Don't dream of what you could have been,
Now's your chance — take it.
It's a Brand New Day.
